How To Travel To Tamil Nadu, India

Tamil Nadu, is a state in the India located in the southeastern part of the country. On the west side it is bordered by the state of Kerala, and the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are located in the north part of the state. On the eastern side it borders the Bay of Bengal. The official Language is Tamil, one of the few officially recognized classical languages in the world. The capital of Tamil Nadu is Chennai, formerly known as Madras. Chennai is where the primary international airport is located at. Once you reach Chennai it is possible to connect to other cities in this state.

Tamil Nadu is well connected by roads, railways and air networks. Other than Chennai, the other major cities are Coimbatore, Trichi, Salem, Madurai and Tuticorn. From Chennai it is possible to find train, bus and air connections to all the above mentioned cities. After Chennai, Coimbatore is the largest city, and it is located in western part of the state, near the state of Kerala. Besides large industrialized cities, Tamil Nadu is blessed with two major hill stations, Ooty and Kodaicanal. Both of these towns are located in a group of mountains known as the Western Ghats. To go to Ooty, you will first need to go to Coimbatore, and to Kodaicanal, Madurai is the city to connect from.
